STEP BY STEP AEGEAN TOUR General Information About

                                                   Tour Capacity is Limited to 40 People

1. Day: ANTALYA-İZMİR-URLA-ALAÇATI-ÇEŞME-SIĞACIK

We meet at Antalya International Airport at 7 am and take the flight to İzmir at 9:20 am via Sun Express. Then we meet with our driver waiting for us in İzmir and drive to Urla first. After giving some free time at the harbor, we visit Alaçatı with our tour guide. Alaçatı fascinates us with its cobblestone-paved and colorful streets, stone houses with colorful windows, windmills, and local tastes.

Çeşme is the second stop of our tour. It’s a small, cute and warm touristic destination, where you may enjoy healing thermal water, sand, the Sun, and crystal clear water. We will walk along the Çeşme streets and visit the castle. While we enjoy the view from the castle, our guide informs us. We see the caravan palace which was built in 1528 by Sultan Süleyman.

Our guide gives us free time to see the shore, harbor, and streets by ourselves. Then we move to Sığacık, which is the North harbor of Theos in ancient times to see the castle, the harbor, and historical houses in the old town.

Dinner and accommodation are at the hotel in İzmir.

2. Day: ŞİRİNCE-EPHESUS ANCIENT CITY-HOUSE OF VIRGIN MARY- İZMİR

We move to Şirince, which is located in the Selçuk district of İzmir after having breakfast at the hotel. We visit the historical Greek houses in cobblestone-paved streets, shops, where handmade soaps, handmade goods, olive oil are sold. We also see local bazaars, wine houses, Hodri Meydan Tower located in the northern village. After taking lots of pictures and collecting nice memories, we move to Ephesus Ancient City, which is the first city completely built-in marble in ancient times. We visit this fascinating city with our tour guide. We see Artemis Temple one of the 7 wonders of the World, Celsus Library, the theatre, columned-street in Ephesus.

Later on, we move to the House of Virgin Mary in Bülbül Mountain. House of Mary was discovered by Lazarist Priests in 1891 and was accepted as a pilgrimage center for Christians after the visit of Pope Paul VI. in 1967.

We go back to İzmir and visit the Clock Tower, which is the symbol of İzmir in Konak square and historical city mansion, famous Kemeraltı Bazaar, Hisarönü, Inns, Hisar mosque and other beauties of the city center.

Dinner and accommodation will be at the same hotel.

3. Day: ÇANAKKALE-GÖKÇEDA

After having breakfast at the hotel, we get on our vehicle to move to Gökçeada. As soon as we arrive Çanakkale, we see Trojan Horse, Clock Tower, Kordon, Aynalı Bazaar and be at the Kabataş harbor at 15:00 to catch the ferry to Gökçeada. We step on the island from Kuzu harbor. Our first visit to the island is one of the 5 Greek villages Old Bademli Village, which is called the terrace of the island.

We also visit the historical laundry in the village, take some pictures of the old plane tree and take a break at the coffee shops. After finishing the first village, we hit the road to see the second historical Greek village Kale Köy. After a short trip, we again take a small break to take pictures of the church and have some free time around, then we get back to the center.

You will have plenty of time to do shopping on the island and taste Greek cockies.

We, later on, meet in our vehicle and move to Zeytinli village after lunch. We can say that this is the most socilized village on the island.

The last stop will be Salt Lake which is close to Aydıncık Beach. You may have mud bathe in the lake.

Dinner and accommodation will be at our hotel in Gökçeada.

4. Day: GEYİKLİ-BOZCAADA-ASSOS-AKÇAY

We leave the island after having breakfast at the hotel in the morning. We move to Geyikli to get Bozcaada and take the ferry at 11:00. We visit the island with our guide and see Genoese Castle, Underwater Archeological Museum, windmills, Mermer Cape. We leave the island after we have some free time.

We meet with the driver in Geyikli and drive to Behramkale one of the important places during the Ottoman period.  After visiting Assos, we drive to Akçay for dinner and accommodation.

5. Day: MOUNT IDA-JEEP SAFARİ-ŞEYTAN SOFRASI

After having breakfast at our hotel, we move to Mount Ida Natural Park for Jeep Safari. We visit Tahta Kuşlar Museum, Sütüvan Waterfall, Hasan Boğuldu Lake, Kızıl Keçili Stream, Anıtçınar, Ethnographia museum, Mıhlı Waterfall, Zeus Altar and Yeşilyurt Village in order. We have our lunch in this beautiful environment and then do our Ayvalık city tour.

After the Ayvalık city tour, we move to Şeytan Sofrası to see the islands in the area, Mytilene Island panoramically. Here we have a break to take some pictures and have free time, then we get on our vehicle to go back to our hotel in Akçay.

6. Day: CUNDA ISLAND-BERGAMA-FOÇA

First of all, we visit Cunda Island after having breakfast at the hotel. We have some free time on the Island then move to Bergama, which is on the list of the UNESCO WORLD CULTURAL HERITAGE.

We start our tour in Bergama with Asklepion one of the oldest healing centers in the antique age, was dedicated to Asklepios. The first foundations of pharmacy science were laid here. During our visit with our tour guide, we’ll be informed about treatment modalities for patients, healing cures. After we complete our tour in Asklepion, we move to Acropolis which means “upper city”. We’ll see “Kızılavlu” panoramically on the way to Pergamon Ancient City. This place is one of the 7 churches considered holy to Christianity and named after red blocks which were used on the construction. We then reach the cablecar station which leads us to the upper city. It takes just a few minutes to get to the upper city. We not only see Hellenistic ruins such as palace and water cisterns but also see Trajanium, ruins of the second biggest library, one of the steepest theatres of the antique age, Bergama Theatre. We listen to its sad story from our guide at the site of the “Altar of Zeus” one of the most famous sculptures of the Hellenistic era, where the original is exhibited in the Berlin Pergamon Museum today.

We move to Eski Foça after Pergamon. Herodotus’s famous saying about Eski Foça and its residence is; “They built their cities in the most beautiful sky and the most beautiful climate we know on earth”. We discover this land of beauties, the charming Aegean town with our guide.

First, we have the opportunity to see Stone House, one of the oldest Persian mausoleums in Anatolia. After we’re informed about the place, we go on our tour with the city center. We visit Herodotus Wall, City Gate, The five-doored castle, Kayalar Mosque, ancient Greek houses, and the streets of Foça and move back to İzmir Airport to take our flight to Antalya. We come back to Antalya with Sun Express flight at 10 pm.
